Gerry was aman that lead a unique lifestyle, and kept himself to himself most of the time. He had many jobs throughout his life and in later life grew apart from his family. He was a loving father to Cliona & Gerry,(Jnr) and a former husband and friend of Daphne. He became ill with Cancer in late 2006 and his health declined very quickly,leading to his death. He passed away on 3rd April. 2007 with the family at his bedside, at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness. Most of his large family, travelled from Ireland for the funeral and burial at Kilvean Cemetary on 10th April 2007.
